Catheter sclerotherapy (ClariVein®)

With ClariVein®, the long or short external stem vein is closed by mechanical irritation and by use of an anesthetic. The procedure is mostly painless and is performed without anesthesia or local anesthesia.

In the ClariVein® procedure the vein is treated with a rotating catheter tip and obliteration.

In this method, the remaining lateral branches are conventionally removed or eroded by means of exhairesis (miniphlebectomy) with minute incisions.

Advantages:

  •      No anesthesia, no local anesthesia
  •      Very fast workability
  •      No cuts, no scars
  •      No nerve injuries
  •      No or very short compression treatment after the procedure
